Senior Automation Engineer

About the role

ANZ is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to help design, build and maintain its Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure. You will work within the Technology Operations domain, supporting both on‑premises private cloud and public cloud services while applying DevOps principles.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and ensure quality of hybrid‑cloud solutions for internal application teams.
• Develop infrastructure‑as‑code assets and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Terraform and Puppet.
• Automate security and governance controls across cloud environments.
• Support production releases and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Identify delivery, security and operational risks and propose mitigations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align cloud services with business value.

Required profile

• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality outcomes and explain technical decisions.
• Experience operating cloud platforms at scale (GCP or AWS).
• Background in supporting traditional on‑premises virtualised infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Windows Active Directory, Group Policy and Linux administration.
