Senior Associate - Risk, Compliance & Governance

About the role

Marsh is looking for two Senior Associates to join its growing Risk & Compliance team in Auckland, one supporting the insurance business and one supporting the investments business. Both are hybrid roles with at least three days per week in the office. The roles are broad and varied, with strong opportunities for growth and exposure across a wide range of risk, compliance and governance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support business owners and risk champions in managing incidents and issues effectively
• Review incident root causes, ratings and remediation approaches, and help escalate material matters when needed
• Provide timely compliance advice and support, including accurate completion of compliance assessments
• Review and challenge business unit risk profiles, metrics and control performance
• Help support key risk and compliance committees and forums with timely papers and reporting
• Assist with change implementation readiness, risk mitigation activities and other ad hoc support for the team and business stakeholders

Required profile

• Experience in risk, compliance, controls, assurance, internal audit or a related discipline
• A sound understanding of risk management, internal controls and assurance frameworks
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and judgement skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise reports and present information effectively
• Preferred: experience in financial services, exposure to the three lines of defence model, experience across key risk, compliance, reporting and governance processes, and experience supporting governance forums, committee papers or regulatory reporting
