Senior Associate Credit Analyst – Institutional Relationships

About the role

The Senior Associate joins the Research & Analysis (R&A) team within Institutional Relationships at ANZ. You will lead end‑to‑end credit analysis and structuring for New Zealand’s largest corporates, with a focus on the retirement village and aged‑care sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive credit submissions, including counter‑party analysis, financial forecasts and industry insights for complex customers.
• Manage the annual review process for existing portfolio clients.
• Collaborate with internal partners such as Senior Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, DCM, Markets, Trade Finance and Transaction Banking to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Identify and mitigate operational, compliance, conduct and reputation risks.
• Ensure R&A processes, procedures and reporting meet performance targets and support the New Zealand Institutional Banking strategy.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a growth orientation.
• Experience in credit analysis, preferably within large corporate or institutional settings.
• Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
