Secondary Commerce Teacher – Gisborne

About the role

Due to internal movement, the Gisborne campus is seeking an experienced secondary commerce teacher to join a high‑performing team. You will deliver NCEA commerce, accounting, business studies and economics to motivated students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach NCEA commerce subjects (Commerce, Accounting, Business Studies, Economics) to secondary students.
• Deliver engaging lessons both in‑person at the Gisborne campus and online via platforms such as Zoom.
• Prepare and assess coursework and examinations in line with the NCEA curriculum.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to develop innovative learning resources.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
• Proven experience teaching commerce‑related subjects at secondary level.
• Commitment to student success and innovative teaching practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Strong digital proficiency, including use of Zoom and other online learning platforms.
