Seasonal Meat Processing Team Members – Night Shift

About the role

Join our Nelson processing plant for the upcoming season as a night‑shift meat processing team member. You will work across various areas including slaughter board, further processing, freezer, cleaning and forklift operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate slaughter board equipment and perform butchering or boning tasks.
• Handle meat cutting, knife work and further processing duties.
• Operate a class‑F forklift safely in the plant and OSH areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of work zones and assist with general plant upkeep.
• Work night‑shift hours (approximately 4:30 pm‑2:30 am or 5:30 pm‑3:30 am) to meet production targets.

Required profile

• Eligible to work in New Zealand and able to provide proof of identity.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug test and medical assessment.
• Commit to workplace health and safety standards.
• Physically fit, reliable and able to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Forklift operation – class F.
• Meat cutting, butchering or boning techniques.
• Use of slaughter board and processing equipment.
