SAP S/4HANA Finance (FINS) Functional Consultant

About the role

Accenture is looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance (FINS) Functional Consultant to join its growing SAP practice. You will help leading organizations across New Zealand and the wider APAC region modernize their finance functions, improve operational performance and get maximum value from their SAP investments. The role covers end-to-end finance transformation, from solution design and configuration through implementation, testing and business adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client workshops to gather, analyze and validate business requirements.
• Design and configure SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Deliver finance transformation initiatives across Financial Accounting (FI) and Management Accounting (CO).
• Support solution design, testing, cutover planning, deployment and go-live.
• Drive finance process standardization, optimization and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with architects, developers and project teams, and advise CFOs and finance leaders.
• Manage project workstreams, mentor junior consultants and contribute to proposals and business development.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of SAP Finance consulting experience.
• Proven experience delivering SAP implementation, transformation or upgrade programs.
• Experience in consulting firms, professional services or large enterprise environments.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand (citizenship, permanent residency, partner visa, post-study work visa, open work visa or other valid working rights).
• Location: Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch; remote arrangements may be considered.

Required skills

• SAP S/4HANA Finance configuration, GL, master data, R2R and management accounting (profit center, cost center, project systems).
• Intercompany processes, product costing, split valuation, moving average price, rebate processing and settlement management.
• SAP Finance integration with SD, PP, MM, ISM and BRF+; BAdI and CDS View development.
• Finance business processes, controls and reporting, plus stakeholder management and workshop facilitation.
