Restaurant & Bar Manager – Luxury Alpine Resort

About the role

The Restaurant and Bar Manager will lead the daily operations of Elevation restaurant and bar at Coronet Ridge Resort, a new five‑star alpine destination in Queenstown. This full‑time position ensures exceptional guest experiences while supporting the resort’s brand standards and revenue goals.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule front‑of‑house staff, ensuring high service standards.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to implement menus and promote specials.
• Monitor inventory, place orders, and control costs.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and liquor‑licensing regulations.
• Handle guest feedback, drive sales through upselling and promotions.
• Train team members on service, product knowledge and communication.
• Work with resort leadership on budgeting, revenue targets and brand consistency.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service focus with a track record of delivering high‑quality guest experiences.
• Proficiency in food & beverage operations, including restaurant and bar service.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests, staff and management.
• Experience in staff training, onboarding and performance coaching.
• Sales acumen for upselling and meeting profit targets.
• Previous restaurant or bar management experience in a hotel or resort setting.
• Knowledge of local health, safety and liquor‑licensing requirements.
• Organised, able to work in a fast‑paced environment and flexible with evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Relevant hospitality or business qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
