Reliability Engineer

About the role

Join NZ Post’s Reliability Team and support maintenance operations across all sites. Based in Wiri, Auckland, you will ensure the reliability and performance of sortation equipment and related systems, helping to minimise downtime and improve overall operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct reliability assessments and analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed reliability best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous optimisation of asset care strategies.
• Develop and implement plans to enhance product reliability and reduce equipment failures.
• Own the training standards for technicians and ensure compliance.
• Travel nationwide for audits and performance checks, including occasional overnight stays.

Required profile

• Proven experience in reliability engineering or a closely related maintenance planning role.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.
• Full, clean NZ driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
