Relationship Associate – Business Banking

About the role

As a Relationship Associate you will support Relationship Managers in making banking easier for customers, providing solutions and lending support for various customer groups. The role offers development of relationship skills and may lead to a small CAD within 12 months.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customer portfolios, numbers, goals, challenges and value propositions.
• Enhance the bank’s profile by demonstrating knowledge of customer industries and markets.
• Develop effective relationships and collaborate both within Business Banking and across ANZ.
• Work with Relationship Managers, Senior Managers and product partners to design and deliver appropriate customer solutions and resolve concerns.
• Maintain compliance and operational excellence standards.
• Provide financial analysis and interpret customer information to ensure accurate credit decisions.
• Keep up‑to‑date with the bank’s credit policies to make appropriate decisions.

Required profile

• Great financial literacy with strong commercial and business acumen.
• Prior experience developing strong relationships in a customer delivery or experience role.
• Sound understanding of structuring security arrangements.
• Banking industry experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Preferably holds an accounting or finance degree or equivalent (not a strict requirement).
