Relationship Associate – Business Banking

About the role

The Relationship Associate supports Relationship Managers in delivering banking solutions to business customers across the Waikato, Taranaki & King Country region. This permanent position is based in Te Kuiti (or Te Awamutu) and offers a pathway to future Relationship Management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their business needs and service requirements.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Senior Managers and product partners to design and deliver appropriate banking solutions.
• Conduct financial analysis and interpret customer information to support accurate credit decisions.
• Assist in growing and maintaining the customer base by building strong relationships and providing effective product solutions.
• Provide insights and recommendations that help customers succeed.

Required profile

• Experience in a customer‑facing role with a focus on relationship building.
• Strong analytical ability to assess financial trends and implications.
• Tertiary qualification in a financial discipline or relevant lending experience.
• Understanding of security arrangements and credit structuring.
• Background in banking or finance is preferred.
