Registered or Enrolled Nurse – Operating Theatre

About the role

Braemar Hospital is seeking experienced Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join its Operating Theatre team. You will work across a range of surgical specialties, supporting surgeons and patients in a state‑of‑the‑art private hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for surgeries in specialties such as General Surgery, Urology, Plastics, Gynaecology, Spine, Orthopaedics, Cardiothoracic, Vascular and ENT/Maxillofacial.
• Assist with the set‑up, operation and breakdown of theatre equipment, including the da Vinci Xi surgical robot.
• Maintain strict infection‑prevention standards and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Lead and multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality surgical care.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) in New Zealand.
• Experience working in an operating theatre, preferably within one of the listed specialties.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Ability to work flexibly across part‑time, full‑time or casual arrangements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the da Vinci Xi surgical robot.
