Registered Nurse – Theatre (Full-time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our theatre team at Royston Hospital. In this full‑time position you will provide high‑quality peri‑operative care throughout the surgical journey, working alongside skilled specialists in a modern, well‑equipped environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during and after surgery.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and allied health professionals to ensure safe and efficient theatre operations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to infection‑control and safety protocols.
• Participate in emergency response and rapid‑turnover cases as required.
• Support the education and mentorship of junior staff and nursing students.

Required profile

• Current New Zealand Registered Nurse status with a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Minimum of two years’ experience working in a theatre or peri‑operative setting.
• Strong team focus, excellent communication and the ability to work under pressure.
