Registered Nurse – Fixed‑Term (Franklin, NZ)

About the role

As a Registered Nurse with Oceania in Franklin, you will work within a nurse‑led service delivering full‑scope care to residents of an aged‑care community. This short fixed‑term position offers the chance to apply your clinical expertise independently and collaboratively while building strong relationships with residents, families, and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily care needs of residents, ensuring comprehensive assessments and interventions.
• Make critical decisions regarding resident care with autonomy and professional judgment.
• Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to care staff and team members.
• Develop and maintain meaningful connections with residents, families and community health providers.

Required profile

• A current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
• Commitment to delivering excellent, resident‑centred service.
• Previous experience using clinical systems.
• Effective time‑management and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends and nights.

Required skills

• InterRai (desirable but not essential).
• Proficiency with clinical documentation systems.
