Registered Nurse – Community Home Visiting (Rolleston)

About the role
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Rolleston team on a permanent part‑time basis (0.7 FTE). The role focuses on community‑based care, providing home visits and clinic support for infants and their families throughout Canterbury.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct regular home visits to assess infant health and development.
- Facilitate clinic sessions, performing well‑child checks and providing clinical advice.
- Collaborate with multiple agencies, specialists and Whānau Āwhina services to coordinate care.
- Document assessments, care plans and outcomes in accordance with Plunket standards.
- Promote culturally safe practices and empower whānau in their parenting journey.
Required profile
- Registered Nurse qualification.
- Current or ability to obtain an Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Valid NZ driver’s licence (restricted or full, clean).
- Willingness to complete a Post‑Graduate Certificate in Well Child Tamariki ora (funded by employer).
- Commitment to flexible, community‑focused nursing care.
Required skills
- Clinical assessment of infants and young children.
- Home‑visit coordination and documentation.
