Registered Nurse – Aged Care (Upper Hutt)

About the role
Oceania is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to join its nurse‑led aged‑care villages in Upper Hutt. You will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to residents while practising to the full scope of your nursing registration.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate daily clinical care needs of residents.
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and implement individualized care plans.
- Make sound clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing resident conditions.
- Build and maintain relationships with residents, families/whānau, and allied health professionals.
- Lead, coach and support Healthcare Assistants and the wider care team.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
- Promote a safe, respectful and caring environment for residents.
Required profile
- Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC) and registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
- Previous nursing experience, preferably in aged‑care or a similar clinical setting.
- Flexibility to work a variety of rostered shifts, including weekends and nights.
- Strong communication, leadership and collaborative abilities.
- Genuine passion for caring for older people.
- InterRAI experience is desirable but not essential.
