Registered Architect / Experienced Architectural Graduate (Masterton)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Architect or an experienced Architectural Graduate to join our Masterton team on a full‑time basis, starting in late May or early June. Our medium‑sized, community‑focused practice delivers a wide range of projects, from residential homes to medium‑scale commercial, industrial, medical, education and community developments across Wairarapa and Wellington.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept design through to construction observation.
• Develop innovative and practical design solutions that meet client needs.
• Produce high‑quality documentation and technical drawings.
• Collaborate closely with the team to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Work on diverse urban and rural sites, handling both residential and commercial briefs.

Required profile

• Registered Architect or Architectural Graduate with at least 5 years of NZ experience.
• Creative and innovative design mindset.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently and guide them to completion.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and local construction methods.
• Excellent documentation and technical drawing abilities.
