Regional Scheduling Advisor

About the role
The Regional Scheduling Advisor will play a pivotal part in ensuring the South Auckland courts operate efficiently, delivering timely and accessible justice for the community. Working closely with judiciary, court leadership and registry teams, you will influence how court resources are allocated and help shape the District Court’s response to demand.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of court schedules that respond proactively to changing demand and emerging priorities.
- Provide trusted advice on the allocation of judicial time and court resources, balancing operational requirements with judicial priorities.
- Analyse scheduling, utilisation and operational performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Court Managers, Judicial Resource Managers, Executive Judges and other key stakeholders.
- Contribute to regional and national initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance across the justice system.
- Deliver evidence‑based recommendations that support transparent and consistent decision‑making.
Required profile
- Demonstrated ability to quickly establish strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting data to inform decisions.
- Proactive, solutions‑focused attitude and comfort navigating complexity and ambiguity.
- Ability to develop a deep understanding of court operations, judicial priorities and local community needs.
- Commitment to improving the timeliness, effectiveness and accessibility of the justice system.
