About the role
Flaxmore Lifecare, a 48‑bed aged‑care home in Nelson, is looking for a part‑time receptionist to create a warm, welcoming environment for residents, families and staff. This permanent 25‑hour‑per‑week position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in a supportive community.
Key responsibilities
- Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries promptly.
- Greet visitors, residents and staff with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry and handling mail.
- Assist with invoicing and on‑charging processes as required.
- Support the wider team to maintain a safe and caring environment.
Required profile
- Previous administration experience in a fast‑paced setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Excellent time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
- Commitment to the values of aged‑care and cultural respect, including understanding of Treaty of Waitangi standards.
Required skills
- High‑level computer literacy.
- Experience with invoicing and on‑charging processes (or willingness to learn).
