Quantity Surveyor

About the role

WCML is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, contracts and procurement, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and price concept plans for projects
• Facilitate purchase orders to suppliers and subcontractors
• Negotiate favourable outcomes with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
• Measure and estimate variation claims
• Manage project and contract administration requirements
• Review project progress and prepare monthly claims
• Ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time
• Maintain projects within approved cost structures

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 3 years’ New Zealand experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Required skills

• Knowledge of NZS3910 construction contracts
• Knowledge of NZS3915 construction contracts
• Knowledge of NZS3916 construction contracts
