Quality Systems Manager – Christchurch

About the role

Davin Industries is seeking a hands‑on Quality Systems Manager to lead and embed its Quality Management System across the Christchurch manufacturing site. The role combines strategic oversight with daily floor presence, ensuring quality is understood, applied and continuously improved.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, maintain and enhance the QMS in line with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
• Partner with production teams on the shop floor to translate quality requirements into practical actions.
• Plan, conduct and follow up internal and external audits, ensuring compliance.
• Identify improvement opportunities and drive effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain clear, usable quality documentation and ensure it is actively referenced.
• Coach and develop team capability in quality processes.
• Monitor, analyse and report quality performance metrics, turning data into actionable insight.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quality Systems Manager or similar role in manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards and quality frameworks.
• Hands‑on attitude with willingness to work directly on the production floor.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication style capable of influencing and building trust at all levels.
