Quality & Compliance Analyst

About the role

BDO Auckland is seeking a part‑time Quality & Compliance Analyst to support its Business Advisory team. This internal‑facing position will help maintain high standards across client file quality, AML/CFT compliance, and operational processes, offering a blend of review, oversight, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Review client files for quality, completeness and adherence to statutory and IFRS documentation.
• Provide practical feedback and best‑practice guidance to managers and partners.
• Act as a central point of contact for AML/CFT compliance, reviewing onboarding documentation and performing periodic monitoring.
• Develop and deliver AML/CFT training and guidance across the firm.
• Monitor data integrity in systems such as QRM and Taxlab, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
• Track common issues, create templates, checklists and contribute to a consistent, high‑quality approach.

Required profile

• Prior experience in professional services (tax, audit, BAS, compliance or similar).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot trends and drive process enhancements.
• Excellent communication skills for delivering clear, actionable feedback.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with senior staff.
