Pursuits & Proposals Manager (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

PwC New Zealand is seeking a Pursuits & Proposals Manager on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to support parental‑leave cover. The role sits in the Markets team and works closely with partners, directors and pursuit teams to win and grow key client engagements across Auckland (and potentially Wellington).

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end proposal and pursuit lifecycle, from go/no‑go decisions through to submission and post‑bid debrief.
• Facilitate strategy workshops to develop winning value propositions, win themes and client‑focused narratives.
• Coach senior stakeholders and pursuit teams on creating persuasive proposals, presentations and pitch materials.
• Provide bid‑management expertise, including drafting, editing, reviewing and refining content to ensure high‑quality, differentiated responses.
• Drive bid governance, timelines and stakeholder coordination across multiple complex opportunities simultaneously.
• Champion PwC’s brand, visual identity and tone of voice in all proposal and presentation assets.
• Maintain tender monitoring processes and direct opportunities to appropriate subject‑matter experts.
• Enhance bid resources, knowledge libraries and best‑practice guidelines.
• Support the evolution of bid tools, including integration with Salesforce and emerging AI technologies.
• Collaborate with global PwC bid‑management teams to share insights and leading practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience leading and managing complex bids, proposals or pursuit processes in a professional‑services or B2B environment.
• Strong project‑management capability with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, workstreams and deadlines.
• Proven track record of developing compelling client‑focused value propositions and proposal content.

Required skills

• Salesforce (experience with integration and usage for bid management).
