Protection & Control Intern

About the role

The Protection & Control Intern will join Vector’s engineering team for a ten‑week, full‑time placement. You will gain practical experience supporting the technologies that keep the electricity network safe, reliable and resilient.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting and configuring protection devices.
• Support field automation and power system operation tasks.
• Conduct technical analysis and participate in design reviews.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at network reliability.

Required profile

• Currently studying Electrical Engineering with an interest in power systems, protection, and control.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Self‑motivated, curious and eager to learn from experienced engineers.
