Propulsion Technician - Assembly

About the role

Rocket Lab is seeking a Propulsion Technician to join the Assembly team responsible for the final build, testing and maintenance of Electron rocket propulsion systems. You will work hands‑on in a fast‑paced environment, supporting the production and launch schedule for our launch vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Receive engines and components from production and complete final assembly.
• Perform acceptance, qualification and development testing on Rutherford and Curie engines and Electron stages.
• Carry out maintenance, upgrades and infrastructure work at the Test Complex.
• Take primary responsibility for one Work Centre (Engine Test, Stage Test or Propulsion Assembly) while collaborating across centres.
• Use tools, equipment and facilities to ensure product quality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Trade‑qualified with at least 4 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven experience in mechanical and electrical production or maintenance activities.
• Ability to follow processes precisely with impeccable attention to detail.
• Good visual acuity required for precision work.
