Project Manager – Water Projects

About the role

WSP is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of water‑related projects across the UK. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams from concept through handover, ensuring high‑quality outcomes for municipal and industrial water clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project proposals, defining scope, resources, schedule and cost estimates.
• Own the P&L, overseeing revenue, margin, budgeting, forecasting and cash collection.
• Create and maintain project documentation such as management plans, risk registers, schedules and stakeholder registers.
• Monitor and control project schedule, man‑hours, budgets and expenditures.
• Administer contracts, manage changes and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Lead and mentor project team members, including assistant project managers.
• Communicate project status and deliverables clearly to the team and client.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale water or infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial and financial accountability, including budget and risk management.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external partners.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
