Project Manager RiverLink

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the RiverLink team, a major flood protection and infrastructure programme delivering environmental and community outcomes for the Wellington region. The role is full‑time, fixed‑term until June 2030, based in our central Wellington office.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver RiverLink projects to agreed service levels.
• Manage project budgets, work plans and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with environmental management requirements.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiencies and improved systems.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Provide advice on key project matters and represent Greater Wellington in collaborations.
• Produce project communications, reports and quality‑assurance documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering engineering or civil construction projects.
• Ability to plan, monitor and achieve project outcomes.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills across multiple activities.
• Understanding of financial budgeting, reporting and operational planning.
• Competence in risk identification and mitigation.
