Project Manager

About the role

This is a key position supporting the delivery of complex genomics research programmes within the Liggins Institute at the University of Auckland. You will lead the successful execution of the newborn genomics programme, cerebral palsy project and rare disorders programme, all of which have national impact.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor project timelines, budgets and resources across multiple genomics initiatives.
• Engage and align a diverse stakeholder base, including researchers, clinicians, funders and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory and clinical trial requirements where applicable.
• Prepare regular progress reports, risk assessments and deliverables for senior leadership.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and implementation of project outcomes into New Zealand healthcare.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Highly organised with strong motivation and communication abilities.
• Master’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• Understanding of the clinical trial landscape is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software and methodologies.
