Project Manager

About the role

Shane Stone Builders is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a variety of construction projects across the Whanganui region. The role will start with insurance, Ministry of Education, and Enable projects and will expand to residential, commercial, and alteration works.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare pricing, estimates and tenders for residential, commercial, insurance and maintenance projects.
• Review plans, specifications and documentation to ensure accurate costing and compliance.
• Manage multiple projects from start to finish, keeping them on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams, scheduling labour and resources to meet project timelines.
• Maintain professional communication with clients, consultants, insurers, Ministry of Education, Enable and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, environmental regulations and company safety procedures.
• Monitor workmanship quality, conduct site reviews and resolve defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting and administration.

Required profile

• New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Currently residing in the Whanganui region or willing to relocate.
• Proven experience managing construction projects of varying size and complexity.
• Ability to work onsite and travel to project sites as needed.
