Project Manager

About the role

The Project Manager will play a critical part in delivering projects and work packages across Meridian's Generation business. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage high‑value, complex projects and programmes of smaller assets, overseeing planning, estimating, scheduling, resourcing and delivery.
• Coordinate requirements between project, engineering, site, procurement, commercial, contractors, suppliers and asset custodians.
• Build constructive relationships with engineering, maintenance teams, external vendors and local Iwi to ensure collaborative delivery.
• Lead contract tendering, award and administration in line with Meridian’s commercial requirements.
• Monitor health and safety risks and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Formal Project Management qualification and solid understanding of PM practices.
• Proven experience delivering complex multi‑disciplinary projects involving civil, mechanical and/or electrical engineering works.
• Technical or engineering background is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience managing large, complex projects and coordinating contractors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage health and safety risks.
