Project Manager: Industrial (Mechanical)

About the role

Frequency is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead industrial mechanical projects in Auckland. The role focuses on delivering building services upgrades in live environments such as hospitals, industrial plants, and manufacturing facilities, ensuring services remain operational throughout the works.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of building services projects in critical brownfield settings, including hospitals and industrial facilities.
• Plan and coordinate upgrades to mechanical, electrical and controls (BMS) systems while managing disruption and outage planning.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants and contractors to monitor progress, expectations and contract administration.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, risk registers and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• 5+ years of project delivery experience, preferably with live building services upgrades.
• Technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent contractor experience.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical and BMS systems and associated outage risks.
• Experience in procurement and contract administration; strong communication and coordination skills.
