Project Manager – Customer Works

About the role

Northpower is seeking a Project Manager who thrives on variety, enjoys solving real‑world problems, and loves seeing projects come to life across communities. You will own customer‑initiated projects from the first design conversation through delivery and close‑out, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget compliance, and high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver HV and LV network projects, including overhead and underground services, upgrades, new connections, and subdivision developments.
• Manage projects from design and pricing through execution and final reconciliation.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Prepare detailed work packs, manage project costs, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Handle defects, permits, and maintain strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Organised and practical with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proven problem‑solving ability and sound decision‑making.
• Financial awareness with experience managing budgets.
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Experience in project management, preferably in electrical, utilities, or infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution networks (HV/LV preferred).
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Level 6 Project Management qualification or equivalent experience.
