Project Manager (Construction)

About the role

Join a leading national project management consultancy in Auckland, delivering a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, education, aged‑care and fit‑out projects. As a Project Manager you will guide projects from concept through to completion, representing client interests across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all project activities throughout the full project life‑cycle.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables.
• Manage programme schedules and cost control.
• Lead procurement and tender processes.
• Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders and build strong relationships.
• Assist with design management and consent processes.
• Coordinate external consultants to optimise construction delivery.
• Collaborate closely with the existing project management team and senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years consultancy experience in a project management firm delivering vertical construction in NZ or AUS.
• Experience across commercial, industrial, education, aged‑care or fit‑out projects is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with multiple stakeholders.
• Understanding of NZ building standards and tendering procedures.
• Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or Engineering.
