Project Engineer – Regional Installations

About the role

Air Liquide New Zealand is seeking a Project Engineer to lead high‑impact regional projects for customer installations. Reporting to the Regional Manager for Customer Installations Engineering, you will ensure safety, reliability and compliance across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and deliver project costings within allocated budgets while controlling installation and maintenance expenses.
• Collaborate with clients from planning and design through handover and ongoing technical support.
• Develop, implement and audit Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and risk assessments to maintain zero‑compromise safety standards.
• Implement regional asset management structures and contribute to SOP upgrades through continuous improvement projects.
• Review and recommend technical solution enhancements to the national engineering team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in project implementation, commercial customer management and gas equipment maintenance.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal and solution‑focused decision‑making skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for adapting and modifying technical drawings.
