About the role
sKids is looking for enthusiastic Programme and Assistant Programme Managers to lead after‑school and morning sessions at its North Shore sites. You will create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for children, delivering a variety of activities while managing daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of day‑to‑day programme delivery, from set‑up to pack‑down.
- Lead and supervise large groups of children, handling behaviour positively.
- Plan and run structured activities such as arts & crafts, sports, games, off‑site trips, baking, drama, and music.
- Provide positive guidance for children with diverse needs.
- Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and school staff as the onsite point of contact.
- Coach and delegate tasks to Programme Assistants, ensuring high standards and accountability.
- Prepare resources, plan activities in advance, and set clear expectations for each session.
Required profile
- Legal right to work in New Zealand (visa or citizenship).
- Reliable transport to reach sKids sites in Windy Ridge, Sunnynook, and upcoming locations.
- Proven leadership experience with groups of children (e.g., teaching, coaching, childcare, camps).
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and high‑energy environments.
