Production Supervisor

About the role

Graymont (NZ) Ltd is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee operations at its Otorohanga and Te Kuiti plants. The role is responsible for safe, efficient, and cost‑effective production and dispatch of lime products, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate frontline operational staff, setting priorities, allocating resources and monitoring work execution.
• Promote a Zero Injuries culture by enforcing safety policies, reporting incidents and driving corrective actions.
• Develop production plans based on sales forecasts, manage inventory levels and maintain accurate data in the JDE system.
• Coordinate product dispatch, liaise with transport providers and ensure accurate documentation.
• Manage site inventories of consumables (PPE, bags, pallets, diesel) and process purchase requisitions.
• Identify and implement improvements in safety, efficiency and overall operational performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising frontline production teams in an industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Ability to plan production, manage inventory and coordinate dispatch activities.
• Experience working with suppliers and handling purchasing processes.

Required skills

• JDE (JD Edwards) ERP system proficiency.
