Production Planner

About the role
The Production Planner will optimise manufacturing operations at Fabrum, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality hydrogen and cryogenic products. Working closely with production, engineering and quality teams, you will create realistic schedules, manage resources and drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demand while maximising machine and labour utilisation.
- Determine routing steps and estimate manufacturing times for new components from engineering drawings.
- Analyse machine capacity and labour availability, identify bottlenecks and propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to secure material availability and minimise delays.
- Monitor production metrics, generate reports and support data‑driven decision making.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality and production teams to resolve issues and implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, resource allocation and inventory data.
- Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Production Planner in a manufacturing, engineering or machine‑shop environment.
- Strong understanding of a wide range of manufacturing processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to build relationships across multiple teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
- Proactive, continuous‑improvement mindset.
