Production Operator

About the role

Join a historic New Zealand manufacturer as a Production Operator, helping to produce high‑quality plasterboard for the construction market. You will work on a rotating shift pattern, ensuring continuous, safe, and efficient plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine checks of plant operations and control semi‑automated equipment via computer interfaces.
• Monitor chemical and physical aspects of board production to maintain quality standards.
• Replenish additive lines and operate machines as required to keep production flowing.
• Carry out quality‑assurance duties and promptly report any issues or faults.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and manage multiple production demands simultaneously.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks safely.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously within a team.
• Strong prioritisation skills, meeting deadlines with high accuracy.
• Commitment to safe work practices and belief that injuries are preventable.
• Mechanically/technically minded, with a willingness to undergo a technical test during interview.
