Production Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations at the Marley plant in Manurewa. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee injection moulding, finishing, crushing and frame production, driving safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture aligned with the "Go for Zero" commitment.
• Coach and develop production teams to boost engagement, capability and performance.
• Improve OEE, productivity, waste reduction and overall operational efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and embed Lean manufacturing principles.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Monitor and enhance key operational KPIs.
• Drive automation, process optimisation and future investment projects.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to achieve business objectives.
• Manage budgets and support commercially sound decision‑making.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in a Production Manager or equivalent manufacturing leadership role.
• Proven track record managing medium to large operations in plastics, building products or similar environments.
• Demonstrated success in safety, quality and operational performance improvement.
• Hands‑on, visible leadership style with the ability to build credibility on the shop floor.
• Strong influence and engagement skills to lead change.
