Product Engineer – Workshop (NZ)

About the role

This is a product‑builder role where you own a product surface end‑to‑end: you talk to customers, prototype ideas, build, ship, measure and decide the next steps. You will work on AI‑driven solutions for the global automotive parts repair market.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship product surfaces end‑to‑end, from prototype to production, using AI‑assisted tooling.
• Stay close to customers, spending time with estimators, parts managers and other users to understand pain points.
• Reconcile user feedback with data, own metrics, prioritize work and make trade‑offs between impact and effort.
• Develop agentic experiences that move from manual operation toward supervised delegation.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience shipping software features end‑to‑end with clear accountability.
• Strong customer obsession with a habit of working directly with users in their context.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity, prototype rapidly and iterate based on real‑world feedback.

Required skills

• Full‑stack engineering with production‑quality code, frontend‑lean focus.
• Experience building AI‑assisted or agent‑driven features where humans stay in the loop.
• Analytical instinct to define metrics, instrument code and act on data without waiting for a data team.
