Process Worker – Manufacturing (Otahuhu)

About the role

Join Sleepyhead’s bedding production team at the Otahuhu site and take part in the full manufacturing cycle of mattresses and related products. You will rotate through several work centres, gaining hands‑on experience with raw materials, machinery, and final packaging.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual production tasks and operate machinery in line with safety and quality standards.
• Ensure raw materials and finished goods meet specified quality criteria.
• Carry out quality checks, record results and maintain accurate documentation.
• Follow operational and safety procedures for all production activities.
• Participate in job rotation, housekeeping and report hazards or equipment breakdowns promptly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and OHS training.

Required profile

• Motivated, reliable team player with a strong safety focus.
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work.
• Punctual, dependable and eager to learn across multiple production areas.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Forklift licence (advantageous).
