Process Operator

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on, team‑focused Process Operator to keep our wastewater treatment sites running smoothly. Based at our Warrington facility, you will support essential operational and maintenance tasks that protect public health and the environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out day‑to‑day operational and maintenance activities across wastewater treatment processes.
• Ensure sites meet environmental regulations and performance targets.
• Perform planned and reactive work, adapting to changing priorities.
• Conduct routine checks, inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Support investigations, root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and optimise contractor performance.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in a similar operational environment within the water or environmental sector.
• Knowledge of environmental output standards, compliance requirements and procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work safely.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and adapt to changing tasks.
• Commitment to attain an accredited qualification relevant to the role.

Required skills

• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes.
• Understanding of environmental compliance standards.
