About the role

ANZ Private helps successful individuals, families, professionals, business owners and farmers achieve their financial goals through a comprehensive wealth‑management offering. As a Private Banker you will build trusted relationships, understand clients’ aspirations and provide personalised advice to grow, manage and protect their wealth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of ANZ Private clients.
• Build trusted relationships and develop a deep understanding of clients' financial goals, needs and aspirations.
• Provide personalised financial advice and investment solutions that help clients grow, manage and protect their wealth.
• Develop and maintain client plans that support strong outcomes, portfolio growth and retention.
• Deliver an exceptional, proactive client experience through timely follow‑through.
• Grow funds under management, deepen relationships and generate new business opportunities via referrals, networking and business development.
• Maintain an active market presence, building relationships with professional partners and centres of influence.
• Stay informed on market, economic and industry developments to support meaningful client conversations.

Required profile

• New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) and Financial Adviser accreditation, or ability to obtain within agreed timeframes.
• Experience providing financial, investment or wealth‑management advice to clients.
• Strong understanding of investment markets, wealth‑creation strategies and portfolio construction.
• Sound knowledge of regulatory and compliance obligations associated with financial advice.
• Proven success building trusted client relationships and delivering exceptional outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to grow and retain client portfolios, including increasing funds under management.
• Strong networking and business‑development capability with a focus on long‑term referral relationships.
• Passion for helping clients grow, manage and protect their wealth through a comprehensive approach.
