About the role
The Ara Institute of Canterbury is seeking a Portfolio Manager for its Nursing programme. This senior position will lead the delivery of nursing education, oversee clinical placement arrangements and drive continuous improvement of programme quality.
Key responsibilities
- Lead nursing education within Ara’s largest academic programme.
- Design, coordinate and evaluate clinical placement pathways to meet accreditation standards.
- Ensure high‑quality programme outcomes for students, staff and the broader nursing workforce.
- Collaborate with academic staff, healthcare partners and industry stakeholders to align curriculum with workforce needs.
Required profile
- Proven experience in nursing education, programme management or related leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of clinical placement processes and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Commitment to supporting students (ākonga) and staff (kaimahi) in a collaborative environment.
