About the role
As the Portfolio Manager for BASF Agricultural Solutions in New Zealand, you will be accountable for the commercial performance of the crop‑protection portfolio. You will drive revenue, profitability, cash contribution and market share while shaping both short‑term marketing actions and long‑term portfolio strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Own the portfolio’s commercial results, managing strategy, pricing, forecasting, promotion and lifecycle planning.
- Develop and execute short‑ to long‑term portfolio strategies based on market insight, customer needs and competitive dynamics.
- Identify and pursue new growth opportunities, translating insights into actionable sales and value‑creation plans.
- Lead new product launches in collaboration with sales, technical, regulatory, R&D and regional teams.
- Represent BASF at customer and industry events, sharing market intelligence and best practices.
- Contribute to regional and global projects while maintaining regular communication with internal teams on demand planning, performance reviews and strategic initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience in portfolio or product management within the agricultural or crop‑protection sector.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue and profit targets.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, technical, regulatory, R&D and regional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
