Platform Engineer – Automation & Cloud

About the role

Datacom is looking for a Platform Engineer to join the Datapay team. You will work closely with senior engineers and technical leads to design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure that powers our technology ecosystem across cloud, container, and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Champion an automation‑first culture to improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
• Implement and maintain core platform services, including containerisation, cloud resources, identity and access management, and infrastructure as code.
• Design, build, and optimise CI/CD pipelines and support release, configuration, and environment management.
• Develop internal tooling and automate processes using DevSecOps practices.
• Provide technical support, test new solutions, and respond to feedback on existing platforms.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and resolve moderate‑complexity technical issues.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technology trends and share insights with the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of platform engineering experience.
• Hands‑on experience across the software development lifecycle with exposure to DevSecOps.
• Proven ability to work in collaborative, agile environments and contribute to solution design.
