Planning Manager – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a senior Planning Manager to lead integrated planning for the Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana – Ara Tūhono transport infrastructure project in New Zealand. The role will align corporate objectives with operational delivery, provide forward‑looking insights to senior stakeholders, and strengthen governance and planning practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage programme systems (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to monitor project progress.
• Identify and assess risks and opportunities across the project scope.
• Create and maintain staging plans, schedules and time‑scaled logic diagrams.
• Coordinate activities of all personnel and ensure contract requirements are met.
• Design and implement progress monitoring tools, reports and dashboards.
• Integrate internal and external interfaces into an overall program structure.
• Review, communicate and obtain approval for all project programmes and plans in line with commercial requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of planning or project‑management experience in a construction/engineering environment.
• Proven leadership, communication and prioritisation abilities.
