Piling Supervisor – Civil Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Piling Supervisor to lead crews on civil and ground engineering sites in New Zealand. The role involves hands‑on leadership, coordinating piling activities, and ensuring safety, programme and productivity are balanced.

Key responsibilities

• Lead piling crews on site, coordinating people, plant and daily activities.
• Plan work ahead, manage programme risks and keep delivery on track.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed, with clear controls in place.
• Read drawings and set clear direction so work is completed right first time.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers to meet project requirements.
• Monitor productivity, quality and costs, keeping accurate site records.

Required profile

• Strong experience in piling, foundations or ground engineering projects.
• Proven ability to lead crews and keep teams motivated on site.
• Solid understanding of construction drawings, methodology and sequencing.
• Practical knowledge of health and safety requirements in civil construction.
• Confidence managing subcontractors, plant and site logistics.
• Trade background or relevant civil construction experience.
