Physiotherapist – Early Career Role in Upper Hutt

About the role

Habit Health is looking for an early‑career Physiotherapist to join its multidisciplinary team in Upper Hutt, Wellington. You will work with both clinic‑based and community clients, building a solid foundation in musculoskeletal and community rehabilitation while receiving mentorship from experienced clinicians.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, treat and rehabilitate clients using evidence‑based physiotherapy techniques.
• Provide services to both clinic‑based and community clients, including ACC cases.
• Document sessions using “Heidi”, the AI note‑taking assistant, to reduce admin time.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, psychologists and other health professionals to deliver holistic care.
• Participate in case discussions, team learning sessions and track clinical outcomes.

Required profile

• NZ‑recognised physiotherapy qualification with 1–2 years post‑graduation experience.
• Current registration (or eligibility) with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while seeking support when needed.
• Full NZ driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Evidence‑based musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation.
• Use of AI‑assisted documentation tools.
• Understanding of ACC and contractual service timeframes.
