People Experience Coordinator

About the role

Southern Cross Health Insurance is seeking a People Experience Coordinator on a seven‑month fixed‑term contract. You will support the employee lifecycle, ensuring data accuracy and delivering a smooth, people‑centred experience across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support to employees and managers with timely, accurate advice.
• Coordinate onboarding, off‑boarding, internal movements, leave, payroll and benefits processes.
• Assist the People team with communications, inbox management, user testing and people initiatives.
• Maintain confidential employee records and ensure data compliance across HR platforms.
• Leverage data, insights and automation to improve processes, strengthen controls and enhance the employee experience.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in HR administration or support.
• Strong people‑first mindset with basic knowledge of employment relations legislation.
• Action‑oriented, highly organised and comfortable interpreting policies and reports.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Experience with an HRIS is an advantage; familiarity with Workday is desirable.
• A relevant HR qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
