People and Culture Advisor (Permanent)

About the role

PwC New Zealand is looking for a People and Culture Advisor to join its internal People & Culture team. This full‑time permanent position supports leaders and employees, helping to deliver a great employee experience and advance the firm’s P&C strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver cyclical P&C programmes such as performance cycles, graduate and intern initiatives, and wellbeing/engagement surveys.
• Partner with P&C Connect and Business Partners to ensure consistent, values‑led employee experiences.
• Contribute to projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives that boost organisational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge, balance workloads and strengthen P&C capability.
• Provide proactive advice to leaders and staff on performance, development and day‑to‑day employment matters, escalating complex cases as needed.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in a People & Culture generalist or advisory role, preferably in a medium or large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and ability to handle minor employee‑relations matters.
• Proven ability to use HR data and insights for decision‑making and reporting.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills with credibility across stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience with HRIS platforms.
